A thrilling night of boxing lit up Koforidua as SP Sports Management and Promotions, in collaboration with PKO Promotions, staged the “1957 Fight Night” at the Total 2 Station on March 7.

The headline bout saw Ghanaian boxer Charles Tetteh, popularly known as “Hit Man,” secure a knockout victory over Nigeria’s Lukman Akinolugbade. The win extended Tetteh’s unbeaten professional record to 13-0-1 as he called out former WBO Global champion Wasiru Mohammed for a potential showdown.

Other exciting bouts also thrilled fans on the night. George Faho Mensah defeated Kofi Manu via third-round technical knockout, while rising cruiserweight contender Abubakar Kamoko maintained his perfect record with a knockout win over Sylvanus Tsagli to improve to 7-0.

The event also featured victories for Prince Oko Nartey, Bernard Abbey and Samuel Martei Laryea, who all impressed with strong performances.

Meanwhile, former amateur boxer Sarah Apew made a statement debut in the professional ranks with a knockout victory over Marina Sackitey.

Event organiser Samuel Darkwa praised the fighters and coaches for delivering an entertaining show and hinted at staging similar events in the future.
