A British YouTuber and musician accused of violently raping a fan after a gig never asked his alleged victim if she wanted sex, a court has been told.
Rapper Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has pleaded not guilty to six counts of sexually penetrating a 20-year-old woman without consent in a Perth hotel room in September 2024.
The 30-year-old also denies impeding the woman’s breathing by applying pressure to her neck, and three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.
His trial on Monday heard the performer met the woman at a nightclub called Bar1 after his performance.
‘I was standing in the VIP (area) and she was standing in the general area and she leant over a barrier and said something to me,’ Barrientos told the West Australian District Court.
‘I fancied her and we got chatting.
‘The vibes were good, and she had a really good energy about her.’
He said they later left in a mini-van with his entourage and drove to the Intercontinental Hotel in Perth’s CBD and the pair had consensual sex.
‘The sex was great,’ he said from the witness box.

Asked to describe the sex by his barrister, the rapper said there was: ‘Grunting and moaning in a good way’.
He denied choking and slapping the woman, as has been alleged in the court.
But he agreed he did bite her numerous times.
‘In England we would call it a love bite,’ he said.
‘My mouth on her skin; it involves sucking (and) my teeth were involved to some extent.’
The jury has been shown images of the woman’s alleged injuries following her night with Barrientos.
These include photos of deep bruising and bite marks on the woman’s face and neck.
Under cross-examination by prosecutor Danielle Clarke, Barrientos said he wasn’t surprised the woman came back to his hotel.

‘I could just tell she was into me,’ he said.
He agreed that when he asked her to leave with him, he didn’t mention having sex, but he believed they would do so.
He said he initially grabbed the woman’s hand as they were leaving the nightclub about 3.30am, but let go.
‘I quickly realised I didn’t want to be seen on socials,’ he said.
The woman previously told the court Barrientos put his hands down her pants and touched her breast while they were in the club.
But the rapper denied the acts.
‘It didn’t happen,’ he said.
‘I recall putting my hand on her waist.’
The entertainer also denied giving the woman tequila shots, contradicting the alleged victim’s evidence.
He said these were handed around by the bar manager.
CCTV of the pair leaving the venue in Perth’s northern suburbs was played to the court.
It showed Barrientos and other people getting into a white mini-van and the woman following a short time later.
She paused at the door of the van before stepping in.
‘All I remember is me leaving in front of her … and before I know it she was in the vehicle,’ Barrientos said under questioning from his barrister.
The rapper didn’t recall whether the pair chatted during the drive to the hotel.
CCTV from the hotel showed him striding ahead of his entourage and the woman after they left the van.
The group was then shown entering a lift.
‘The vibes were good; we walked through the concierge and got into the lift … and I went into my room with (the woman),’ Barrientos said.
The rapper agreed the woman’s phone was taken from her, as she alleged.
‘It is standard practice for someone in the limelight to protect privacy,’ he said.
