You’re untruthful if you vote for Bawumia – St. Sark urges Ghanaians to elect Mahama

The founder and leader of Open Arms Ministry, Apostle Nkansah Kofi-Sarkodie, popularly known as St. Sark, has urged Ghanaians to vote for former President John Dramani Mahama as the next president of Ghana in the December 7, 2024, presidential polls.

Addressing a press conference in Accra on Thursday, November 7, 2024, St. Sark stated that the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), among other things, stands tall in managing Ghana’s economy compared to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party.

“The cedi was around 4 cedis to a dollar when they came to power. Even if we were to double the depreciation, it should be around 8 cedis. But what are we seeing currently? It’s around 17 cedis. So their performance is worse off. So whoever has decided to go ahead and vote for Bawumia is untruthful because Bawumia himself said the economy bears witness to the competence of the government. So if we got rid of a government that had the cedi at 4 cedis to a dollar, how do you take it to 17 cedis and still expect to be voted for?” he stated in response to a question on why the former president is a better choice compared to the vice president.

On whether a four-year mandate will be enough for Mr. Mahama, who has already served one out of the two permitted terms, to make any significant impact, St. Sark said the former president, by his experience, is ever prepared to lead Ghana on the path of economic growth.

“I will urge every Christian to vote. It is said that when the wise look on for the unwise to set rules, they are also affected. So this is the time for all believers to also exercise their franchise by voting for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC for things to get better,” he said.

“We should be asking ourselves questions. Mahama has been there before; he knows the way and knows what went right the first time. Mahama’s four years will be better than someone coming to do eight years, and this is because the person coming is now coming to start afresh. He has been there before and seen everything. He has learned from his mistakes and has drawn his lessons,” St. Sark added.

According to Apostle Nkansah-Sarkodie, he accurately predicted a win for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia in the 2020 election and has received the mandate to prophesy a defeat for Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming polls.

He outlined various reasons in both physical and spiritual realms which he said account for Dr. Bawumia’s inability to win the December 7 presidential polls.
