Sarkodie is a Ghanaian rapper

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has shared his thoughts amid the ongoing legal actions and controversies surrounding the late Highlife legend, Daddy Lumba, in the past few weeks.

In a post shared on X on October 17, 2025, Sarkodie expressed concerns, noting that anyone who listens to the musician’s “Makra Mo” song without getting emotional is insensitive.

He explained that the late Daddy Lumba, in his “Makra Mo” song, requested peace and unity among his family members if he passed on; however, he said his wish has been disregarded.

“As a Lumba Fan, if you can listen to Makra Mo without getting emotional, especially in these times, you’re not human,” he said.

Can a slay queen be a widow? – Akosua Serwaa’s lawyer asks

Sarkodie‘s comment comes in response to the ongoing court battle between the late Daddy Lumba’s first wife, Akosua Serwaa Fosuh, and Prisicilla Ofori, also known as Odo Broni.

Court battle

Akosua Serwaa, who identifies as the only surviving spouse of the late musician, has filed a writ at the High Court in Kumasi, seeking official recognition of her marital status.

She is also requesting an injunction to halt the pending funeral and burial arrangements, which she claims were planned without her consent.

According to her suit, the funeral date of December 6, 2025, which was announced on DL Radio, was set by members of Daddy Lumba’s extended family without any consultation with her or her children.

She maintains that, as the legal wife, she should have been included in these decisions.

Allegations and demands

The suit names Priscilla Ofori, popularly known as Odo Broni, and Abusua Panin Kofi Owusu, the family head, as defendants.

Akosua Serwaa has accused them of “collaborating to engage in fraudulent acts” related to the planning of the funeral and burial.

Her plea to the court also includes an order to prevent the second wife and family members from taking custody of Daddy Lumba’s body from the morgue.

She has insisted that she alone has the right to perform widowhood rites as his lawful spouse.
