Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has launched a scathing response to his colleague Big Akwes, following accusations that he monopolizes lead roles and sidelines other talents in the Ghanaian movie industry.

The controversy began on June 19, 2025, when Big Akwes alleged in a viral video that LilWin consistently blocks opportunities for other actors by insisting on playing lead roles in his productions.

“LilWin always takes the leading role in every movie he features in. Is he the only producer in Ghana? Look at Mercy Asiedu, Kwaku Manu – in their productions, they give others the chance to shine. But LilWin doesn’t,” Big Akwes claimed.

However, in a swift rebuttal shared on June 20, 2025, LilWin accused Big Akwes of harbouring envy and resentment towards him.

“You’re full of hatred and jealousy. If you think it’s a problem, go and produce your own movie. Call me to act in two scenes, I won’t hesitate, as long as you can pay. But let’s be honest: even when you get the chance to produce a movie, directors don’t give you lead roles because you’re not a lead actor,” he said.

He continued, “Since the inception of the movie industry, you’ve been filled with bitterness. When will you finally let go of the jealousy?”

LilWin further condemned Big Akwes’s past association with spiritual advertisements, stating that his actions had misled and harmed innocent people.

“You promoted fetish priests, and people lost their money and property because of you. Don’t think those wrongs have been wiped clean. You will reap the evil you have sown. One day, you’ll answer for all of it before God,” LilWin said.
