Young Apostles CEO Gerald Domfeh has announced that the club will boycott the remainder of their Ghana Premier League fixtures due to what he described as poor officiating.

The decision follows a 2-2 draw against Hohoe United in Matchday 19 at the Wenchi Sports Stadium, a result that left the club frustrated with the standard of refereeing this season.

In an interview with Asempa FM, Domfeh expressed his disappointment with the officiating in the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign, saying the club has decided to stop competing in matches moving forward.

“As a club, we have decided to boycott the test of our Premier League games. We will show up during matchdays but will not compete when the game starts,” Domfeh said.

He added that the club would rather play in the Division One League than continue in the Premier League under the current conditions, noting that they could earn more from selling players and operating in the lower tier.

“It will be appropriate for us to compete in Division One League rather than to play in the Premier League. We can sell players and make money playing in the Division One League, and that is our decision,” he added.

Young Apostles are currently 15th on the league table with 22 points and will face Dreams FC at the Tuba Astro Turf in Matchday 20.
