A Nigerian pastor has stirred online debate after issuing a spiritual warning to Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen following his record-breaking move to Galatasaray.

In a viral video, the pastor is seen cautioning the 26-year-old striker against his new adventure in Turkey, claiming the move is destined to fail.

“Osimhen, that four-year deal is failed. That four-year deal, you will not enjoy. Better have a rethink. Who give you that advice, Osimhen?,” he said.

The prophecy comes weeks after Galatasaray officially announced the permanent signing of Osimhen from Napoli in July 2025.

The Turkish champions paid a staggering €75 million for the Nigerian international, making him the most expensive incoming transfer in Turkish football history.

The deal smashed the previous Turkish record, set in 2024 when Fenerbahce signed Morocco’s Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla for €20 million.

Osimhen initially joined Galatasaray on loan for the 2024/25 season, after guiding Napoli to the Serie A title in the 2023/24 season.

His performances in Istanbul impressed the club enough to trigger a long-term commitment. He has now signed a four-year deal, with Napoli entitled to 10% of any future sale.

Despite the excitement among Galatasaray and Nigerian fans, the pastor’s comments have introduced an unsettling twist.

On social media, reactions have been mixed, some mocking the preacher, while others fear there could be more to his words.

Osimhen has yet to publicly respond to the prophecy.
