A Nigerian lady suffered an injury in a bid to compete with ladies who returned to Nigeria for Christmas celebrations.

In the caption, the lady decided to fix long acrylic nails to compete with the I Just Got Back From Abroad (IJGB) ladies to flaunt her expensive lifestyle.

However, her attempt to compete and show off took an unexpected turn when she hurt her pinky finger and the fake nail started to pull off with her real fingernails.

The appearance of the nails is distorted in a subsequent video as @phat_fifi_ is shown at a clinic tending to the wound, which was then covered with plaster and a bandage.

Internet users have sympathized, even though they acknowledge that Nigerian and IJGB females didn’t need to compete to see who could be the most stylish and traditional.

While some mocked her situation, others highlighted that fixing long nails is meant for ladies who don’t participate in strenuous activities.

    Below are some reactions,

@princess_chukwu Chai sorry oo now you will go for bandage to bandage 😂

@mahtildah_ That looks so painful, felt the pain from here when I saw🩸😢 For something that looks so classless (long nails) definitely not worth

@prettymo_x Why will you be doing so long nails sef , are you messed up??? Looks tack to me. Short and normal is cute!

@vendorshome How do you ladies use your hand to buy wahala for yourself? Long nails are for soft babes with drivers and helps that don’t do nothing because they have people that open doors and clear the road for them not people that fly bike 🤦
