US-based Ghanaian musician and socialite, Dennis Anane, popularly known as Archipalago, has shared his thoughts on a recent incident involving Sarkodie’s bodyguard shoving Edem away from approaching the musician.

In a post shared captured on X on March 23, 2025, Archipalago stated that Edem should not have tried to draw Sarkodie‘s attention during his performance.

He explained that the rapper was in a focused, heated moment as he was making his way to the stage and Edem should have waited for him to finish before attempting to speak with him.

“Edem should have waited because Sarkodie was heated when making his way to the stage. And you know with such a situation, people will guard him, so you should have waited for him to finish,” Archipalago said.

He added, “You could have spoken to him after his performance because you are also an industry player.”

Archipalago expressed disappointment in Edem’s actions, stating that the rapper should avoid doing things that would provoke social media criticism.

“Edem, you are also my friend, but to be frank, what you did was wrong. You shouldn’t have done that at that point in time. Moreover, it was through you that Sarkodie became who he is today. So next time, refrain from actions that will bring social media trolls,” he advised.

His comments are in response to a viral video in which Edem attempted to get the attention of Sarkodie, whiles he was performing through the audience during the 40th birthday celebration of businessman Richard Nii-Armah Quaye.
