William Braham and Salifu Amoako William Braham and Salifu Amoako

The Head Pastor of Logos Spirit Arena, Prophet William Braham, has advised Archbishop Salifu Amoako to refrain from commenting on the ongoing East Legon accident saga.

During an interview on Kingdom FM, monitored by GhanaWeb, Braham expressed his disappointment with the recent remarks made by Archbishop Amoako during his church service on October 20, 2024.

According to Braham, the archbishop should have been silent in such a difficult moment, as such comments could be misconstrued.

“I would plead with the archbishop to refrain from talking about the matter before it’s too late. I saw the video of him talking about how his son didn’t carry a gun and all that. I was sad. I don’t know why he should even talk,” he said.

Braham also mentioned that the archbishop’s comments, coming after his apology video, were poorly timed.

“It’s one thing to apologise to people you offended. But it’s your actions after the apology that would determine if you meant it or not because people were wondering if he was genuine in his apology. But making such statements after the apology would give people the perception that he wasn’t genuine,” he added.

Archbishop Salifu Amoako is the father of the 16-year-old boy involved in the tragic accident that claimed the lives of two young girls in East Legon on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

He came under backlash after a video of him defending his son, stating that the accident was an unfortunate event rather than an intentional act of violence.

The accident, in which his son was driving at high speed, claimed two lives. The collision caused the other car to catch fire, burning the two victims beyond recognition.
