Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie has stated that African’s who do not know anything about their ancestors should be ashamed of themselves.
Yul, who made this statement via his Instagram page on Sunday, urged Nigerians to explore their lineage.
According to Yul, he believes that one can not know everything in the bible and not know anything about their village.
While he described such people as lost, he advised that people should learn about the exploits of their grandparents, their village, and their ancestors.
His post read;
“If you’re an African and you know all about Peter, Paul, Joseph in the bible and the people of Israel yet you know nothing about your village, your ancestors, your lineage, the exploits of your great grandfathers and grandmothers, you ashamed of yourself. You’re lost.”
However, the majority of internet users appeared to disagree with him following his consistent talk of nonsense online.
Below are some of the reactions;
“No positive impact as a celebrity! Always yarning dust”
“You are the lost one sir!! You wanted to deceive us by becoming a pastor online but it didn’t work out!! You didn’t set the example your father set”
“You were once a pastor, bro. What happened that you suddenly turned into a native doctor”
“Na by force to follow you do juju?? Ehnn.. proud polygamist with no wife. Rest, Pastor Dibia!”
