MOG Beatz (R) accuses Shatta Wale (L) of selling his catalogue MOG Beatz (R) accuses Shatta Wale (L) of selling his catalogue

It looks like old wounds are reopening, as sound producer MOG Beatz is back in the ‘ring’ with Dancehall musician Shatta Wale.

This time, he is accusing Shatta of pulling a similar trick to the one that first sparked their fallout four years ago.

Back in 2021, MOG Beatz called out Shatta Wale, claiming he produced 10 songs on the Reign album but never received a dime for his work.

That development sparked weeks of back-and-forth, with MOG insisting he had been underappreciated despite his contribution to the project.

Shatta Wale reportedly loses $2M EP deal amid fallout from negative publicity

Fast forward to the early hours of August 19, 2025, MOG has claimed history is repeating itself, this time, on a much bigger scale.

In a series of heated posts on X, the music producer alleged that Shatta Wale had sold a music catalogue, which included songs he (MOG) himself produced, to an international company for millions of dollars.

According to MOG, the deal was done without his knowledge, consent, or agreement, and worse still, his production credits were reportedly stripped off and replaced with Shatta Wale’s name.

The producer went on to suggest that Shatta Wale’s sudden show of wealth, including luxury vehicles like a Rolls-Royce, was financed by the alleged catalogue sale.

‘We need to form our political party; the oldies are not ready to listen’ – Shatta Wale insists

He argued that on a “normal day,” the musician wouldn’t have been able to afford such cars, implying that the money came from misrepresenting ownership of the songs to appear wealthier than his peers.

MOG Beatz insisted he would not sit by and allow his work to be erased or his intellectual property exploited in a scam.

He described the alleged deal as a fraudulent scheme, accusing Shatta of deceiving the foreign company while dragging him into the mess by using his productions without credit.

According to MOG, this is not just about money but about integrity. He reminded fans of how their 2021 fallout ended unresolved, with Shatta never compensating him for the beats he produced.

He said the fact that the same dispute has resurfaced in 2025 shows Shatta “did not learn “sense” from their first fight.

“The international company you scam them millions of dollars, you for sort them out, you and them for go talk. Ebi them go come talk to me later after you settle everything them finish, then them go come come meet me. Why them curse you? 2021 ebi you come tell me say the beats I produce give you all be GH¢5 beats, insults upon insults eno be problem.

“Fast forward 2025, you carry these same songs I produce give you, put your name for under say ebi produced by Shatta Wale, 25 songs plus, you go take advance, millions of dollars, just to go and buy Rolls Royce and cars to show you you get money pass Ghanaian artistes.

“The 2021 fight it happen, you no learn sense from inside, the money you no pay me. On a normal day, that Rolls-Royce you no fit accord am. Why you for come involve me and scam the company using my property after 2021, why you no learn lesson. Your fans, I know them go come side you and things all, eno be problem, if you think this one be defamation of character, make you bring evidence, me to I go bring my evidence,” MOG Beatz stated in a video.
