Jennifer Odonwodo, wife of late Nigerian actor Junior Pope, has shared an emotional post reflecting on the pain of living without him.

In the post that she shared on Instagram, alongside new photos with their kids, she expressed the unimaginable grief she has carried for the past year.

Recall that Junior Pope had died alongside four others after their boat collided with a fishing canoe on their way to a movie set, causing them to drown.

Jennifer recalls how her late husband’s love, laughter, and presence are still felt in their home, even as they navigate life without him.

Her message was filled with raw emotion as she reflected on the promises Junior Pope had made to their children, such as taking them to a football academy and attending their first official match.

“I still don’t have the right words to respond to Jason and Jaden wanting to know if Daddy will fulfill his promise of taking them to a proper football academy and be present at their first official match. They said ;, “Daddy told them he wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world”. Then the littlest one (J papa as fondly called by daddy) Jamon, keeps asking when daddy is bringing the big toy car he promised him We appreciate everyone who sympathized with us and stood and still stand by us through our time of grief. Words cannot express our heartfelt gratitude for your love and support towards us.” She wrote

She also shared how the boys continue to ask when their dad will fulfill these promises, while their youngest, keeps asking about the toy car his father had promised him.

Jennifer went further to acknowledge the support they have received from friends, family, and fans, expressing deep gratitude for the love and sympathy shown to them.
