John Peasah, popularly known for his role as Drogba in the hit Ghanaian TV series YOLO, has made an emotional plea to the public for financial assistance as he battles a debilitating illness.

The young actor has been diagnosed with a demyelinating disease — a serious medical condition that damages the protective covering of nerves in the brain, eyes, and spinal cord.

This condition, which has no known cure and can only be managed, poses severe health risks, including vision loss and immobility.

Peasah’s illness has already taken a toll on his mobility, leaving him unable to walk properly without support.

In 2023, he and his sister launched a GoFundMe campaign seeking $280,000 to cover the cost of his treatments as his condition worsened.

In a heartfelt post on his official Instagram page, John Peasah once again appealed to Ghanaians and well-wishers for help, sharing details of his bank and Mobile Money accounts to facilitate donations.

He also called on the public to help him reach philanthropic individuals and organisations that could offer financial and medical support as he continues his fight against the life-threatening disease.
