Ghanaian forward, Yaw Yeboah has been placed on administrative leave by Major League Soccer (MLS) following alleged breaches of league regulations.

The Los Angeles FC winger, along with Columbus Crew midfielder Derrick Jones, have been suspended from all team activities and matchday involvement pending the outcome of an ongoing league investigation.

In an official statement, MLS confirmed the decision, noting that the suspension is a precautionary measure as the league reviews potential violations.

“Major League Soccer has placed Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) midfielder Yaw Yeboah and Columbus Crew midfielder Derrick Jones on administrative leave pending league review of potential violations of MLS league rules,” the statement read.

“Both players will be prohibited from participating in team activities and competition during the respective reviews.”

Yeboah joined Los Angeles FC in January 2025 on a two-year deal after leaving Columbus Crew.

The 27-year-old has since become an influential figure for the California-based side, delivering consistent performances and scoring crucial goals.

Although MLS has not disclosed details of the alleged breaches, the league stated that both players will remain sidelined until the investigations are concluded.
