An X (Twitter) user has sparked a conversation online after sharing the unusual story of a man who returned home exactly one year after disappearing during his own surprise birthday celebration.
According to the tweet, the man had come home from work last year to find his living room filled with friends, decorations, and a cake, an elaborate surprise party planned by his wife.
Although the gesture was meant to be thoughtful, the husband was known to dislike crowds and birthday celebrations, a fact his wife was aware of.
However, he smiled politely, waved at everyone, and then quietly excused himself, and that was the last time anyone saw him.
His phone numbers stopped going through, and his sudden disappearance left his family and neighbours in confusion and worry.
The X user went on to reveal that the neighbourhood woke up in shock this morning when the man walked back into his home as calmly as he had left exactly one year to the day after he vanished.
As of the time of this report, no details have been shared yet about where he has been or why he left for so long.
