Ghanaian fans took to social media in jubilant fashion after the Black Stars demolished the Central African Republic 5-0 on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, a result that puts them on the brink of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The performance, one of the most convincing in recent years, drew widespread praise for the team’s renewed confidence, attacking flair, and unity. Many fans described it as a reminder of Ghana’s footballing identity and the spirit that once made the Black Stars a feared side on the continent.

Musician Kofi Kinaata captured the national mood, celebrating the win as a step closer to North America 2026. Others echoed a sense of pride, saying the team finally looks like “the Ghana of old” again, passionate, organised, and full of energy.

There was also admiration for the new yellow kit, which several supporters said better represents the nation’s colours and heritage compared to the usual all-white strip.

Some fans, while delighted, urged caution, reminding the team to stay humble and united as tougher challenges lie ahead. A few injected humour into the celebrations, joking about the Black Stars’ history of emotional roller-coasters at major tournaments.

But overall, the tone was one of joy and belief. Many called the victory a “five-star performance” and predicted that the qualification campaign is now all but sealed.

With 22 points at the top of Group I, Ghana will host Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 12, 2025, needing just a draw to book their ticket to the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, a dream the fans are already beginning to live.
