    Ghana Premier League sponsors, betPawa, have announced an extension and expansion of their financial commitment to Ghana football, revealing that the Women’s FA Cup will now benefit from their financial offers.

    According to Ntoudi Mouyelo, the Managing Director of Mchezo Limited, operators of betPawa, the renewed and expanded package will see the company invest GH¢7 million into the country’s top-tier football competitions over five years.

    Mouyelo announced that the locker room bonus, which was previously reserved for the men’s league, will now be extended to the Women’s FA Cup from the round of 16 stage.

    Additionally, the locker room bonus will be expanded to include three members of the technical team of a winning team, recognizing the importance of the non-playing members of a team.

    This will see the company invest GH¢1.4 million into locker room bonuses just for the 2024/2025 season.

    “We expect to pay at least 3,500 players by the end of the season. That amounts to GH¢1.4 million. So within the next five seasons, we expect to pay GH¢7 million across both the men’s and women’s divisions,” Ntoudi Mouyelo said during an engagement with some selected journalists in Accra.

    He further disclosed that his outfit will soon commence the construction of phase two of the football pitch at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.

    “Because we have changed the original contract to a locker room contract, we have decided, as I said before, to continue the work on the stadium. But it is no longer under the contract with GFA. So this is a pure CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative between us and the contractors,” he said.
