A lady has sparked conversation online after posting a video on the difference in how men and women treat Bolt drivers.

In the video shared on TikTok, the woman shared an experience with a male colleague with whom she frequently shares rides.

She noted that there’s a pattern in how he interacts with drivers, greeting them warmly, engaging in friendly conversations, and even addressing them as ‘Mr’ when it’s time to pay.

She, on the other hand, admits that her own approach is more formal and distant, usually limited to a simple ‘good evening’ and addressing the driver by their first name as it appears on the app.

“I don’t see it as a big deal but I understand that men give riders a certain level of respect that we women do not, there’s interaction, vibe that men have with bolt drivers that, I’m not saying women should have that have that vibe or interaction I just understand that from my colleagues interaction with the bolt driver he gives them a certain level of respect that we women don’t give, like we do not care.” She said

She clarifies that she doesn’t consider her behavior disrespectful, but the difference in interactions has made her more aware of the ways men and women relate to drivers.

Her candid observation has resonated with viewers, with many agreeing that men tend to show a more casual relationship with cab drivers, while women often maintain a more reserved or transactional tone due to safety concerns.
