    Canadian-born Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah is one of the most notable names in the Ghanaian and African movie industry.

    Jackie Appiah began her acting career in the late 1990s, appearing in various Ghanaian television shows and movies.

    Her breakthrough role came in 2003 when she starred in the Ghanaian film “Princess Tyra”, which brought her widespread recognition and cemented her status as a leading actress in West African cinema.

    Following the success in “Princess Tyra,” Jackie went on to appear in numerous other Ghanaian and Nigerian films like,

    This further established her as one of the most prominent and influential actresses in Africa.

    Not only has she built a reputation as a respected actress both locally and internationally, but Jackie Appiah‘s face can also be spotted on many billboards and TV commercials in Ghana.

    She is a producer and fashion model and holds ambassadorial deals with many prominent organisations inside and outside Ghana.

    Aside from being an actress and brand ambassador, Jackie Appiah has also been involved in many philanthropic and humanitarian initiatives where she uses her celebrity status to support education and healthcare.

    Jackie Appiah has, over the years, received countless accolades and awards dating back from 2007 to 2024, including

    * Best Actress in a Leading Role running out in the

    * Glitz Africa honored her with the Excellence in Creative Art Award at Ghana Women of the Year Honours 2023.

    * Best International Actress at the Papyrus Magazine Screen Actors Awards (PAMSAA) 2013.
