    In a viral moment that has stirred a wave of mixed reactions across social media, a TikTok user with the handle @yourfavoritehellen8 shared a shocking incident involving herself and a group of friends who fell into a soakaway pit while preparing food for a party.

    The video, which quickly gained traction online, shows the women cooking over an open fire on a visibly cracked concrete cover of a soakaway (septic tank).

    As they step back, the structure suddenly gives way, causing them to plunge into the pit below.

    Luckily, she and her friends were rescued in time and managed to escape with no serious injuries.

    However, it was clear just how narrowly they avoided a far more dangerous outcome, including the risk of serious harm or even drowning.

    Many netizens expressed concern and sympathy for the group, while others criticized the situation as a result of carelessness, pointing out the clear signs of damage around the soakaway that were seemingly ignored.
