A University of Washington Turning Point USA event was shut down after a woke flash mob brandishing placards disrupted the talk.

The school’s chapter of the conservative nonprofit hosted Olivia Krolczyk for a speech on ‘the threat of the trans agenda’ on Tuesday.

Krolczyk is a Riley Gaines Center Ambassador and gained notoriety when she posted a viral TikTok about her University of Cincinnati professor who failed her for using the term ‘biological women’ in a paper.

Rowdy protesters gathered outside Thomson Hall around 6pm and started dancing in unison – just as Krolczyk’s speech was set to begin. The fire alarm was pulled inside the building shortly after.

A video showed the group dancing in a flash mob style, wearing shirts that said ‘Thank God I’m Trans’ and holding posters stating, ‘Come Dance With Us. Celebrate Trans Joy.’

Telling her followers about the ordeal, Krolczyk said: ‘Hundreds of students, including ANTIFA, actually showed up to protest. They essentially shut down the road that the building was on.

‘They blocked all of the entrance and exit points so we could not get in or out of the building, pulled the fire alarm, set off some other alarm… we could not leave the building.

‘There was graffiti all over the building. They broke the windows, threw the noise makers in, had lights, were yelling, were in my face.’

The protesters – led by the group Students for a Democratic Society – claimed that their purpose was to show that transphobia is not allowed on campus.

‘We’re holding a rally to celebrate the trans community and show that transphobia will not be tolerated on campus,’ third-year student Valerie Marriott told the student newspaper, The Daily.

‘I think we need to be showing pride in ourselves… showing people we’re not these dangerous, demonified, awful people.’

Krolczyk’s speech was disrupted when a fire alarm was set off and led to an evacuation of the building.

‘There was a fire alarm that was pulled in the [Thomson Hall] basement,’ UWPD Chief Craig Wilson said. ‘We do not know by whom; we did not make any arrests or detain anyone for that.’

The group was briefly brought back into the building to resume the event, but it was shut down again after protesters started banging on the doors.

Video showed protesters breaking a window and throwing a noise maker into the room.

‘I’m almost excited [about being shut down]; I know that sounds weird, but I’m excited because that means we’re doing something right,’ Krolczyk told the school newspaper.

‘We’re speaking the truth, and they can’t handle it… I’m going to keep preaching the truth because that’s what God wants me to do.’

Krolczyk said campus safety escorted her out of the building by dressing her up as a police officer.

‘I am out here advocating for free speech, the erasure of DEI, more single-sex spaces for women, for the equality for women to participate in sports without men being in there,’ Krolczyk said.

‘Essentially, we got shut down, they will not silence us, [and] we will be sure to come back.’

A University of Washington spokesperson said the student group that organized the event was coordinating with campus police to ensure things went smoothly but said the TPUSA chapter did not comply.

‘The responsibility for interrupting last night’s event falls on those whose actions were disruptive and damaging, including breaking a window, graffiti in the building and wasting firefighters’ time with a false fire alarm,’ the spokesperson said.

‘Anyone who is identified to have been responsible for vandalism or property damage will be pursued through legal channels.’

The university said they support free speech but implied the group’s intention may have been to antagonize.

‘Informed discussion and debate are encouraged on our campus, however, it is clear that presenters and disruptors are, in some cases, seeking to antagonize one another in ways that provide dramatic content for their social media feeds,’ the spokesperson said.

‘Tuesday’s scheduled speaker told the student newspaper that she was “excited” the event was shut down.

‘Again, those seeking to disrupt and shut down speakers are ultimately responsible and will face legal and disciplinary action if they are identified. It is also important for organizers to follow advice provided by UWPD regarding security if the true intention is to hold an event without disruption.’
