Bibiani GoldStars are firmly in the Ghana Premier League title race, sitting second on the table with 51 points, just two behind the leaders with five matches left to play.

The reigning Ghanaian champions remain in a strong position to retain their crown, and attention now turns to a crucial top-of-the-table clash against Medeama SC this weekend.

Ahead of the decisive encounter, club CEO Kwesi Adu has admitted that their debut campaign in the CAF Champions League did not go as planned, but insists the experience gained will prove valuable moving forward.

Gold Stars suffered a first-round exit in the competition after a heavy 7-0 aggregate defeat to Algerian fold JS Kabylie, a result that highlighted the gap at the continental level.

However, Adu is confident the team will be better prepared if they secure another league title and qualify for Africa again.

“With our experience last season, we will be ready for Africa if we are able to win the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League,” he told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.

Bibiani GoldStars will now look to channel that ambition into their clash at the TnA Stadium on Sunday, May 3, as they aim to strengthen their title defence.
