Former Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah has reportedly been given a blank cheque to write any amount he wants if he’s able to win the African Nations Championship (CHAN), African Cup of Nations ( AFCON) or qualify for the World Cup with Sudan.

Sudan made a statement in the African Nations Championship by thrashing Nigeria 4-0 in a Group D match on August 12, 2025.

The performance of the Asante Kotoko legend has really impressed his employers who have reportedly made him a big promise.

In a report filed by GTV Sports+, Kwesi Appiah has now been given a target to win a trophy or qualify the team to its first FIFA World Cup for a generous reward.

The report emphasized that Appiah has been given a blank cheque and will be able to write any amount he wants if he is able to achieve any of his new target.

Kwesi Appiah has already qualified Ghana to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco at the expense of Ghana.

His team is also leading Senegal in their group in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after match day 6.

The former Black Stars captain has already stated that he is personally motivated to qualify for the World Cup because he wants to become the first African coach to take two different teams to the Mundial.
