Three boys have been arrested after a wild brawl in a shopping centre resulted in another teen allegedly being stabbed in the torso.

Police were called to Elizabeth City Centre, in Adelaide‘s north after reports of a melee in the centre’s food court about 2.30pm on Wednesday.

Witnesses reported seeing one boy running through the centre allegedly armed with a knife in each hand.

An 18-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed several times during the brawl and rushed to hospital with serious injuries to his torso

Footage taken by a shopper shows one teen pushing another to the ground before appearing to thrust at his chest.

The boy then fled from a security officer closing in on the pair before the teen stood back up and appeared to be wielding a large knife.

He then collapsed to the ground grasping at his side while shoppers stood just metres away.

Three boys aged 17, 16 and 14 were arrested soon after and expected to be charged later on Wednesday.

Three teenagers have been arrested and another is in hospital after he was allegedly stabbed during a brawl in Elizabeth City Centre (pictured) in Adelaide’s north on Wednesday

Friends and family of the 18-year-old rushed to the hospital where he luckily arrived conscious and underwent a blood transfusion.

His brother, Moey, told 7News that he was ‘so mad’ about the incident because he was ‘such a beautiful kid’.

Images from the scene show officers standing beside what appears to be a knife placed on a piece of brown paper.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and urged anyone with information to come forward.

Employees at the shopping centre reported seeing two groups of teens arguing before the incident that left them ‘locked’ inside their stores.

Part of the investigation will include CCTV footage to ‘identify other people involved in the assault’.

One worker, who asked to remain anonymous, said she saw three school kids involved in the melee.

‘One of the school kids pushed another one on to the floor and (allegedly) started stabbing him about three times,’ she told The Advertiser.

‘Then I saw a guy from the food court chasing him with a chair, and then he (allegedly) threw the knife into Boost Juice and then ran off.’

A shopper said they saw one boy ‘drop to the floor and I seen part of the blood on the floor’.

‘Then there was yelling, a lot of like, you know ‘get out of here’,’ he said.

A spokesperson for Vicinity, who operate the centre, said it is assisting police inquiries.

‘The incident was quickly attended to by SA Police and the centre has since been cleared and is open for regular trade,’ the spokesperson said.

‘The safety of our visitors, retailers, team and the wider community is our priority.’
