Nigerian singer and entrepreneur Mr Eazi has sparked conversations on social media following the release of excerpts from his wedding ceremony with his partner, Temi.

In a post shared on X on September 6, 2025, Mr Eazi, who officially tied the knot with the billionaire heiress in Monaco on May 9, 2025, revealed the heartwarming reason behind choosing that specific date for their civil wedding.

He explained that May 9 was the birthday of his late mother, and selecting the date was his way of honouring her memory.

“9th of May is forever a special date in my life, the day my mum was born, and the day I legalized. Mummy showed me what love is, and I will forever honour this day,” he wrote.

A fairytale wedding across three countries

In 2025, Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi pulled off what many have described as one of the most beautiful, multi-continental weddings in recent memory.

The couple held a civil wedding at the Mairie de Monaco in Monte Carlo.

Two months later, in July, they celebrated their Nigerian roots with a traditional Yoruba ceremony in Dubai, hosted at the Otedola family’s residence.

The grand finale took place in Iceland on August 8, where the couple exchanged vows in a stunning white wedding ceremony at Hallgrímskirkja Church in Reykjavik, a location they described as their “favourite place on earth.”
