The founder of Parliament Chapel International, Prophet Francis Amoako Atta, has shared the inspiration behind the title of his ministry.

Speaking on ‘U Cook’, hosted by Empress Gifty on UTV on April 20, 2025, he revealed that the church was originally named ‘Freedom Chapel International’ before it was rebranded as Parliament Chapel International.

“Initially it was freedom chapel and now became parliament chapel. Freedom has where it ends, it doesn’t matter how you describe it, every freedom has a limit.

“My wish is to change things in my church. When you go to US, they don’t mention parliament, they call it senate. In the kingdom of God, church is God’s senate. That’s where they set and change rules” he revealed.

On the main reasons he chose the name ‘Parliament Chapel’, he stated,

“When things go wrong or when there’s a problem in the family and you run to the house of God, then everything changes. I decided to make my church God’s parliament so we could change things,” he said.

He added, “The church has been in existence for 25 years and we will be celebrating our 25th anniversary in October. I started ministry in 1996 and began with the church in 1998.”
