Akosua Serwaa’s daughter, Charlyn Fosu, has clarified why she withdrew from her mother’s application seeking letters of administration over her late father’s estate.
On January 26, 2026, Charlyn formally requested the court to remove her name from the case.
Speaking during a TikTok live session on the same day, Charlyn addressed rumours that she had sued her mother, Akosua Serwaa, or their lawyer, William Kusi.
She described the claims as false, stating that her sole intention was to have her name removed from the matter and that she had not filed any lawsuit against anyone involved.
According to Charlyn, her decision was influenced by her upcoming commitments and the demands of the legal process, which she said she would be engaged in other activities and may be unable to represent her siblings.
Daddy Lumba’s daughter demands removal from letters of administration
“We went to court to take my name out of the letters of administration, and I want everyone to know I didn’t sue my mum or Lawyer William Kusi. The reason why I went to do that was I am entering a phase of my life, where I’m graduating law school soon and wouldn’t have the time to represent my siblings in the letters of administration. That’s why I have decided to take my name out,” she said.
The development follows reports on January 13, 2026, that Akosua Serwaa had filed for letters of administration seeking authority over the estate of her the late husband.
The filing, submitted by Lawyer William Kusi of Dominion Chambers, listed the applicants as Akosua Serwaa, her eldest daughter Charlyn Fosu, and the late Daddy Lumba’s sister, Ernestina Fosu.
