Gospel musician, Joyce Blessing, has disclosed the unfriendly treatment she received from some colleague gospel singers in the Ghanaian music industry.

In an interview on Hitz FM on January 15, 2025, Joyce Blessing explained that she sought a collaboration with a gospel musician but was turned down due to what she felt was competition.

“I wanted a collaboration with a colleague gospel artiste but he refused. Someone in particular turned me down but I won’t mention names. I think the person felt I was a competitor, so, he wouldn’t give me a collaboration… People have the perception that I am not a gospel musician so when secular musicians welcome me, I go there,” she said.

The musician added that no one has been bold enough to ask her the reason she mostly features secular artistes, as compared to her colleagues.

“I think no one has been bold enough to ask me why I feature secular musicians. As a matter of fact, everyone likes it when I feature these secular musicians because if you check the comments, they are all positive. But we have people who use fake accounts to discourage you when you are doing something that is making progress, out of jealousy,” she added.
