Popular socialite Efia Odo has been engaged in a back-and-forth with netizens over her stance on homosexuality.

The controversy began after a video surfaced from the recently held Porial’s Pitch Fair, in which an attendee expressed concern about the number of effeminate young men present at the event.

Reacting to the video on her social media platforms, Efia Odo questioned why people are so triggered by the presence of effeminate men.

Reacting to the video on her social media, Efia Odo questioned why people are triggered by the sight of effeminate men, stating that their hatred might be a cover for hidden attraction to men.

“It’s always what people are not saying that is louder than what they are saying. Why does seeing a man who behaves feminine trigger you? Why is your attention so much on men and not women? Are you attracted to that, so you’re masking it with ‘hate’?” she asked.

Her comments sparked uproar, with some netizens questioning whether she condoned the actions of certain influencers who had reportedly engaged in queer sexual activities.

In response, Efia Odo bluntly questioned why people are so concerned about the sexual lives of others when they are also engaged in sexual activities.

“Should you also be lashed for masturbating and having sex before marriage and lying or stealing?” she quizzed.

“Why are you concerned about another persons trumu? Is it your trumu? Don’t you know what you do against yourself is harmful than worrying about what someone else is doing to themselves?” she retorted.

Quoting the bible, Efia Odo asked her followers to rather be focused on their own shortcomings instead of being fixated on the activities of others.

“The Bible speaks against many things including homosexuality. Why is your main focus on homosexuals? Is it because inherently you are attracted to what you’re afraid of ? The Bible says that are righteousness is not received thru the works of the law but by faith in Christ ! Your righteousness by the law is as a filthy rag! Your righteousness is given to you by your faith in Christ,” she posted.
