A viral clip captured the moment a young lady turned down her boyfriend’s proposal on her sign-out day, sparking mixed reactions online.

In the video, the man went down on one knee in front of the crowd, only for the lady to shout in frustration, asking why he was embarrassing her in public. The audience kept chanting “say yes, say yes”, but she declined, leaving many stunned.

According to the caption, the couple had been together for five years, with the man reportedly spending a lot on her throughout their relationship.

However, the comments section leaned in favor of the lady. Many argued that the man may not have properly communicated his intentions before staging a public proposal.

Others pointed out that time spent in a relationship doesn’t always guarantee marriage, stressing that even after years, a partner can still choose someone else.

@threadsby_nhee In my opinion, the lady is not at fault because they might not have had a proper conversation on the type of proposal she wanted, this might not be her dream proposal, communication matters a lot in relationships ,Now, now the lady’s sign out is ruined because she becomes unhappy

@hito_delight “Say yes” as per na all of una get the relationship
