Former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari has raised concerns about the absence of some Ghanaian football greats at the top echelons of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

He stated that some legendary players like Abedi Ayew Pele, Tony Yeboah, and others should be utilized by the GFA in the management of football.

The former Inter Milan midfielder asserted that the experience and expertise these individuals have gained in their footballing careers would be useful to Ghana sports.

Speaking in an interview with 3Sports, Muntari clarified that the roles for the legends should not be coaching but rather various administrative roles.

“Let’s ask ourselves, where is Abedi Pele? Why isn’t Abedi coming around? Why isn’t Tony Yeboah coming around? Not to mention us, we didn’t do anything. These guys are triple legends.

“When Abedi Pele is in the system, you put him in the right place. I’m not talking about coaching,” he said when asked about his assessment of how the GFA work with ex-players.
