Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan has descended heavily on the NDC caucus in Parliament over their conduct in the Legislative House on Tuesday, October 22.

They occupied the majority side of the chamber following the Speaker’s declaration of four seats vacant while the NPP caucus boycotted the House.

Though the Supreme Court has stayed the Speaker’s order, the NDC MPs insist they are the Majority in Parliament, hence have refused to heed the court ruling.

In the absence of the NPP caucus, the members of the NDC Caucus engaged in a march on the floor of the House.

Speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Kwamena Duncan scolded the NDC caucus over their behavior which he found to be unparliamentary.

“I ask myself when there come the time when they will march to the Supreme Court and turn the place also into a marching ground. When will there come the time when they will march to the Jubilee House and turn that place into a marching ground…Can you point to me any Parliament elsewhere where Members of Parliament have turned the chamber into a marching ground?”, he slammed the NDC MPs.

The former Minister further rebuked them for disobeying the Supreme Court stating “if the confidence and trust in the justice system, if it breaks down today, we have no Ghana”.

He maintained that “the order or declaration made by the Supreme Court, it must be enforced”.
