    Nigerian actress Dayo Amusa in a lengthy Instagram post, shares her opinion on why she thinks Nigerian singer Asake covered his face tattoos.

    She explained in the post that it could have been one of two significant reasons. Either he was currently undergoing a rebrand or he was suffering from some deep emotional issue.

    The emotional reason she speculated to be his upbringing. She mentioned that a lot was not known about the singer’s childhood, and it is possible he might be dealing with unhealed wounds from his younger days which fame can’t cure.

    She wrote;

    “When Asake covered his face in tattoos, I once remarked that he was either rebranding or masking a pain he wasn’t ready to confront.

    His childhood remains a mystery-some say his father was absent, others claim his mother was harsh. But I won’t judge a father who left or a mother who did what she could. What matters is that Asake deserves love, not a public spectacle.

    Fame doesn’t heal the wounds of parental rejection. A child raised on “I love you” moves through life differently than one who hears, “I want nothing to do with you.” Some wounds money cannot fix-only deep, intentional healing can.

    Rather than judge, I choose to send love to this remarkable artist.

    To parents: Be present. Be the voice your child hears before the world tries to define them. A child who feels truly seen and loved at home has less to prove to the world.

    As a victim of such circumstances, I can relate 📌

    I wish him well.”

    For this reason, she advised parents to be careful with how they raise their children, as trauma from childhood can greatly affect the child even when they’re grown.

    Her lengthy statement has garnered mixed reactions among netizens. Many have voiced that what Asake does with his body is no one’s business, along with his family history, saying he should be left alone.

    @jae_muna1 Nikini 😂 Nobody knows what’s going on in their family so it’s best we mind our business

    @bestdoggies9 Hmmm imagine what other people who aren’t even celebrities but but dealing with parental rejection are going through.
