Akosua Serwaa, the wife of the late musician Daddy Lumba, has presented evidence in court showing that she was the only surviving spouse of the late singer, according to Evangelist Papa Shee.
Papa Shee also expressed confidence that the ongoing court case would end in her favour.
The latest hearing in the dispute between Akosua Serwaa and Daddy Lumba’s second wife, Priscilla Ofori Atta, popularly known as Odo Broni, was held at the Kumasi High Court on November 12, 2025.
Akosua Serwaa’s lawyer clears air on trial date
Akosua Serwaa, who married Daddy Lumba in the early 1990s, filed the lawsuit to establish herself as the only surviving spouse of the late musician.
She is also seeking the court’s recognition as the sole person permitted to perform widowhood rites at Daddy Lumba’s funeral.
Speaking on the matter, Papa Shee, a close associate of Daddy Lumba and Akosua Serwaa, confirmed that her legal team submitted strong evidence during the November 12, hearing.
According to him, the proof included photos from her traditional wedding with Daddy Lumba in Ghana in 1991, as well as their civil wedding in Germany in 2004.
“Whatever is happening shows that Akosua Serwaa will emerge victorious. She has provided her marriage certificate and photos from her wedding. Those claiming they divorced 17 years ago are not being truthful because she also brought pictures from seven years ago showing Daddy Lumba at her mother’s burial. Let no one be deceived, what is written is written,” Papa Shee told the media.
