Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois are set to face off on July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois are set to face off on July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London

The boxing world is abuzz with anticipation as Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois are set to clash in a highly anticipated rematch for the undisputed heavyweight championship on July 19, 2025, at Wembley Stadium.

With all four major belts: WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF up for grabs, the winner will be crowned the undisputed heavyweight champion, marking a historic moment in the sport’s four-belt era.

Usyk, the 38-year-old Ukrainian phenom with an unblemished 23-0 record (14 KOs), aims to reclaim the IBF title he vacated in June 2024 and become a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion.

Having defeated Tyson Fury in May 2024 to unify the WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF titles, Usyk solidified his status as one of boxing’s all-time greats.

His subsequent unanimous decision victory over Fury in their December 2024 rematch further cemented his dominance.

Usyk, a former undisputed cruiserweight champion, is known for his elite footwork, ring IQ and resilience, as demonstrated in his controversial 2023 win over Dubois.

“I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to once again fight for the undisputed championship. Thank you, Daniel, for taking care of my IBF belt, now I want it back,” Usyk said.

Dubois, the 27-year-old British powerhouse with a 22-2 record (21 KOs), enters the rematch as the IBF champion, having been elevated from interim to full titleholder after Usyk vacated the belt.

Since his ninth-round knockout loss to Usyk in August 2023, Dubois has been on a tear, securing stoppage victories over Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Anthony Joshua, the latter in a stunning fifth-round knockout at Wembley in September 2024.

Nicknamed “Dynamite,” Dubois believes he was robbed in their first encounter due to a controversial fifth-round low blow call that allowed Usyk time to recover.

“I should have won the first fight and was denied by the referee’s judgment. I am a superior and more dangerous fighter now, and Usyk will find this out on July 19,” Dubois said.

The first Usyk-Dubois bout in Wroclaw, Poland sparked heated debate when Dubois floored Usyk with a body shot ruled a low blow by referee Luis Pabon.

Usyk, given up to five minutes to recover, regained control and stopped Dubois in the ninth round to retain his WBA, WBO, IBF, and The Ring titles.

Dubois and his team have since maintained the punch was legal, fueling their determination for redemption.

Promising a “bloodbath” in the ring, Dubois declared, “I can’t wait to put him to sleep.”

The rematch carries immense stakes, with a reported $203 million prize purse, split approximately 65/35 in Usyk’s favour, equating to roughly $100 million for Usyk and $50 million for Dubois.

The event, expected to draw a record-breaking crowd of 90,000 at Wembley, marks the first undisputed heavyweight title fight on British soil, promising a night of high drama and legacy-defining moments.

As Usyk seeks to reaffirm his supremacy and Dubois aims to rewrite history, the boxing world awaits a clash that could reshape the heavyweight division.

Will Usyk’s technical mastery prevail, or will Dubois’ explosive power deliver a stunning upset? Tune in on July 19 to find out.
