Congratulations on receiving your school placement! This guide outlines the essential steps to complete your child’s enrolment into Senior High School (SHS1). Please note that these steps are only applicable if the candidate has been successfully placed into a school through the CSSPS portal.

Immediate Action Steps After Checking Your Placement

Once you have confirmed your child’s placement, gather the following documents:

    Print Required Documents:

Your child’s BECE provisional results slip (colour or black-and-white).

The Placement Form (available for download after a successful placement check).

The Enrolment Form and Prospectus (available for download alongside the placement form).

Note: If a candidate was not placed, these documents will not be available for download.

    Prepare Your Application Packet:

Place the three printed documents from Step 1 into a brown envelope (do not seal it).

Obtain three to four recent passport-sized photographs of your child.

    Step-by-Step Enrolment Process

Step 1: Visit Your Child’s Junior High School (JHS)

Take your child and the prepared documents to their former JHS.

Present the Enrolment Form to the Headmaster or Headmistress. They will assist in filling it out, or may ask you to complete it for their review.

The head of school will then:

Attest and affix one of the passport pictures to the form.

Sign and stamp the document to verify the candidate’s identity.

They will return the complete application packet to you.

Step 2: Proceed to the Assigned Senior High School (SHS)

Take your child and the stamped documents to the SHS they have been placed in.

Check the admission list posted on the school’s notice board to confirm your child’s name is listed among those placed by the Ghana Education Service.

Step 3: Complete Admission at the SHS

Submit your application packet to the SHS administration (often the Headmaster’s office) to finalize the enrolment process.

Please be advised: This process may involve joining a queue. Some schools may have implemented an online registration system. If this is the case, you may not need to visit the school in person. Always check the school’s official communication channels for specific instructions.
