Soaked in ‘high spirits’, some showbiz personalities have shared their varied reactions to the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s (OSP) declaration of former Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, as a fugitive.

Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng, during a press briefing on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, disclosed that Ofori-Atta, who served for over seven years under the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration, had fled the country and ignored the invitation to respond to questions regarding several ongoing investigations.

Kissi Agyebeng said Ken Ofori-Atta is a suspect in multiple criminal investigations, including cases of corruption and corruption-related activities tied to the construction of the National Cathedral of Ghana.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor is also seeking to question Ofori-Atta regarding the termination of a contract with the Electricity Company of Ghana and the purchase of ambulances by the Ministry of Health, among other matters.

But in the midst of all this, several showbiz personalities, including Kwame Dzokoto, Baba Sadiq, A Plus, and others, have shared their opinions.

While some are excited about the announcement and have teased the embattled former finance minister, others have commented on his possible whereabouts and silence regarding the matter.

If he is in Guyana, he didn’t intend to come back. That’s where the largesse is kept. In just a matter of months, Guyana may just announce his diplomatic status. Proper Diezani style.
