Owner of Tema Youth, Wilfred Osei Kweku Palmer has strongly criticized Kurt Okraku’s decision to seek a third term as GFA president. Palmer questioned Okraku’s achievements during his tenure and challenged his qualifications for re-election.
This criticism follows reports suggesting that Kurt Okraku intends to pursue another term when his current tenure ends in 2027.
In an interview with Happy FM, Palmer expressed his disapproval of Okraku’s potential third-term bid, accusing his administration of failing to deliver on promises.
“I think two terms are sufficient because if you can’t make an impact within that time, then it’s a problem. Ask yourself, what has he achieved since he took office that warrants a third term? Leadership positions are based on records, and even the President of Ghana is limited to two terms. So, why should the FA president seek a third term? I don’t think it’s right,” Palmer stated.
Kurt Okraku was first elected as GFA president in October 2019. After completing his initial four-year term, he was re-elected in October 2023.
