The angry National Democratic Congress Concern Branch Executives in the Effutu Constituency of the Central Region, who vandalised the party office and set ablaze the party’s properties over the government’s failure to offer an appointment to their Parliamentary Candidate, Dr. James Kofi Annan, have rendered an unqualified apology to President John Dramani Mahama, the National Executives of the party, their parliamentary candidate, and the constituency executives of the party.

Addressing the press, the leader of the branch executives, Angella Mensa, said they showed their displeasure to the party executives over their misconduct.

According to them, they want Dr. James Kofi Annan’s name to appear in John Dramani Mahama’s ministerial positions.

They further stressed that Dr. James Kofi Annan was unaware of what they did by vandalising the party properties.

Speaking in an interview with GhOne News’ Yaw Boagyan, Morroa Musah, a Branch Executive in the Effutu Constituency, also stressed that they acted out of anger since they believed that Dr. James Kofi Annan has really suffered in the party and hence deserves a ministerial position.

He said the party’s branch executives would be happy to see Dr. James Kofi Annan as a minister.

They misbehaved out of frustration and disappointment over the failure to appoint James Kofi Annan as a minister.
