Defending champions Western Region booked their place in a second consecutive KGL U-17 Inter-Regional Championship final with a narrow 1–0 victory over Central Region on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.

A well-taken 55th-minute strike from Ramzy Duah proved decisive, sending Western Region through to another title showdown and making them the first reigning champions to reach back-to-back finals in the tournament’s history.

Western Region, who finished second behind Greater Accra in Group A, will now turn their attention to finals on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the McDan Teshie Sports Complex, where they will face Ashanti Region in what promises to be a thrilling contest for the 2025 crown.

Now in its fifth edition, the KGL U-17 Inter-Regional Championship has firmly established itself as Ghana’s premier platform for discovering and nurturing emerging football talent.

The 2025 tournament features an expanded 12-team lineup, bringing together all ten Regional Football Associations along with the two GFA Elite Academies, ensuring both competitive depth and nationwide representation.

Backed by a landmark five-year, $1 million sponsorship from the KGL Foundation, the championship continues to play a central role in the Ghana Football Association’s grassroots development strategy, promoting talent identification, safeguarding player welfare, and inspiring the nation’s next generation of football stars.
