Nollywood star Regina Daniels has taken to social media to confront the public about the way her private suffering has been scrutinised in the wake of widespread allegations of domestic violence with her husband Senator Ned Nwoko.

In a video shared on her social media handle on November 7, 2025, Daniels responded to comments asking why she is now seeking public sympathy after she flaunted her wealth earlier in her marriage.

She noted that while people are quick to put out images of her flaunting wealth, no one ever expects the vulnerable moments.

“It’s okay to laugh at me. People saying, ‘When she was flaunting her wealth, who was there?’ What were you guys expecting me to show off; the times I was being beaten or sad?” she asked.

She pointed to the criticisms on social media, using it as proof of why she never opened up about the abuse in her marriage.

“But nobody ever flaunts their sadness because of mockery,” she added.

Her post comes after a viral video earlier in November in which she appeared distraught, followed by Nwoko publicly denying the abuse allegations and, instead, accusing her of substance and alcohol problems.

Since then, she has put up a series of videos lamenting her predicaments and seeking help from the public.
