Ghanaian singer, Wendy Shay, has brought joy to the life of a young fan, Tracy Shay, following the girl’s viral moment online.

Tracy recently trended on social media after she was captured dancing enthusiastically to Wendy Shay’s hit song Too Late. The moment occurred during the singer’s performance in front of a large gathering of children at the Ridoana School Complex on March 29, 2025.

Despite the lighthearted nature of the video, the young girl faced criticism from some social media users. Wendy Shay, however, quickly came to her defense, publicly standing by her fan and denouncing the negative comments.

In a heartwarming follow-up, Wendy Shay paid a surprise visit to Tracy Shay’s school on April 9, 2025, in a gesture that melted many hearts.

In a video sighted by Zionfelix.net, Wendy Shay made a life-changing pledge: she promised to sponsor Tracy’s education from class five all the way through to university. Additionally, she gifted the young girl an undisclosed sum of money.

The generous act moved both Tracy and her mother, Barbara Oteng, to tears, as seen in the emotional video.

Reacting to the gesture, Tracy’s mother expressed her immense gratitude, stating that she was overwhelmed by Wendy Shay’s kindness and support.

Apart from the scholarship and financial gift, the RuffTown Records artist also donated educational supplies, including custom-branded exercise books and Peeva Beverages products, to Tracy and her classmates.
