Wendy Shay has finally broken her silence on a viral video involving fellow musician Lasmid after some netizens claimed she angrily removed his hand when he attempted to place it on her thigh during the shoot for their new song.
The brief moment, which has sparked plenty of reactions online, captured Wendy Shay and Lasmid seated closely together on the same chair as they worked on visuals for their new collaboration.
In the video, Lasmid appeared to place his hand on Wendy Shay’s thigh, prompting the singer to immediately move it away.

The action quickly became a talking point on social media, with some netizens claiming Wendy Shay was upset and had embarrassed Lasmid in front of the cameras.
But Wendy Shay has now come out to clear the air, insisting that the viral clip has been completely misinterpreted.
Speaking in an interview with DJ Slim, Wendy Shay explained that she moved Lasmid’s hand simply because she wanted to adjust her position and sit properly on the chair.
According to her, she was initially uncomfortable with the way she was sitting especially looking at how well endowed she is and needed to move his hand so she could position herself correctly for the shot.
Wendy Shay also stressed that she has a strong rapport with Lasmid and would never deliberately do anything to damage his reputation.
“Honestly, it’s so unbelievable that none of you could see exactly what happened. I have a rapport with him; that was why I was able to remove his hands. If I didn’t have that rapport, I wouldn’t be able to remove his hands,” she said.
The singer further explained that she wanted to sit on the edge of the chair because of how she was positioned, making it necessary for her to move Lasmid’s hands out of the way.
“Everything is blown out of proportion. The biggest was sitting in the chair, and I wanted to sit on the edge, but because I have a fat ass with hips, I had to remove his hands so I could sit well. So the picture could be nice. He is my guy,” Wendy Shay added.
