Entertainment pundit, Nana Frimpong Ziega, has expressed discontent over what he describes as an unfair agenda by Charterhouse to sabotage King Paluta in his quest to win the ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the forthcoming 2025 TGMAs.

According to Nana Ziega, the awards scheme currently seems to favour King Promise for the ‘Artiste of the Year’ title, while undermining King Paluta’s chances, by excluding his hit song ‘Makoma’ from key nominations.

Speaking during a discussion on NEAT FM, Nana Ziega emphasised that he and others from King Paluta’s camp will not tolerate any bias in the ‘Artiste of the Year’ category.

He questioned the fairness of the awards and stated that there is an attempt to sideline artistes who are not based in Accra.

“The agenda to push King Promise for Artiste of the Year at the TGMA will not succeed. We will not accept the notion that one must live in Accra to be eligible for the Artiste of the Year award.

“This is a Ghana Music Awards event organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture,” Nana Ziega stated.

King Paluta’s ‘Makoma,’ which gained significant airplay and was even used by major political figures during the election period, was expected to receive nominations at the forthcoming Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

However, it was omitted from the four categories it was filed for.
