Public Relations Officer for Burniton Music Group (BMG), Vida Adutwuwaa, has revealed that while several intermediaries have apologised on behalf of DJ Lord for his controversial claims, the artiste’s camp is still waiting for a ‘direct’ and ‘honorable’ apology from the DJ himself.
It could be recalled that on April 1, 2025, DJ Lord claimed in a series of tweets that after playing some Shatta Wale songs back-to-back at the recent Accravaganza, an event official allegedly told him that Stonebwoy’s team was unhappy and demanded that he stop playing Wale’s music.
Stonebwoy’s manager, Chief Stylz, quickly dismissed the claims, labeling them as “false accusations.”
Vida Adutwumwaa also issued a 24-hour ultimatum, demanding that DJ Lord provide proof of his claims or face legal consequences.
Speaking in an interview on Onua Showbiz on April 5, 2025, Adutwuwaa confirmed that while multiple apologies have been sent on DJ Lord’s behalf, the team is “still considering” whether to accept them.
“We’ve received a lot of apologies on behalf of DJ Lord, but the team is considering these apologies. We are waiting to see if he will be magnanimous enough to apologize for his actions,” she said.
She further warned that if the DJ failed to apologize, the team would move forward with legal action.
“If he does not apologize, he will hear from us. We’re expecting him to take action, if not, we will take ours,” she added.
