    The Chiefs and people of Krachi East, in the Oti Region, have expressed deep appreciation to the New Patriotic Party and the Akufo-Addo government, for development projects in the area, an impactful interventions in the country.

    Welcoming Dr. Bawumia to the Constituency on the first day of his tour of Oti Region, the Chiefs said the NPP has always ensured development in the area, dating back to the government of President John Agyekum Kufuor from 2001 to 2009.

    ”Krachi East owes the NPP a great dept of gratitude,” said Nana Oda Gyamfi III, Paramount Chief of Asukoko Traditional Area, who spoke on behalf of the Chiefs.

    “It was under the NPP administration of J. A. Kufuor that Krachi East became both a Constituency and administrative district.”

    “The sod cutting ceremony for the construction of a first class road from Asukoko to Dambai was under the reign of former President Kufuor. The continuation of the road from Kete Krachi, and the extension there from Kpandai were undertaken by the Nana Akufo-Addo administration.”

    Continuing the appreciation of the NPP government for the development of the area, the Paramount Chief said, ”it was also due to the skilful negotiation and navigation of Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia that the Oti Region and its administrative capital of Dambai came into being.”

    The Chiefs also commended Dr. Bawumia for his good work as Vice President, highlighting the impact of his efforts on the people of Oti Region and Ghanaians.

    “Under your veneering leadership, the people of Oti Region and Ghanaians as a whole, are enjoying 24 hours banking services.,” said the Paramount Chief.

    “We can also obtain national health insurance cards and renew same from the comfort of our homes, farms and offices. Indeed, citizens of our beloved country Ghana, can now access numerous services through the use of mobile phones under your landmark digitalisation agenda.”

    The Chiefs also commended the NPP government for implementing ”transformative” policies that are benefitting the nation.

    “The implementation of bold and transformative policies by the Akufo-Addo administration such as the audacious Free SHS policy, the life saving medical drone delivery services, agenda 111 hospitals and the numerous infrastructure developments nationwide, are available for all those who care to appreciate.”

    “The people of Krachi East are also grateful to the government for the initiation and completion of projects such as the high Court with residential facilities, regional police command, youth employment agency and the Royal enterprises offices.”

    The Chiefs expressed confidence that Dr. Bawumia will become the next President of Ghana and appealed to him to prioritise the completion of other outstanding projects in the area, “when he becomes President.”
