Mathias Alagbo is the Volta Regional Youth Organiser of the NDC Mathias Alagbo is the Volta Regional Youth Organiser of the NDC

The Volta Regional Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mathias Alagbo, known in his political activism as Kabila, has urged the youth wing of the party to maintain their relevance on the various campuses across the country by educating people on the ideals and principles of the NDC in order to increase the membership drive of the party.

“We can’t continue doing things like business as usual. We must take our policies and programmes to the people at all material moments and not wait for political activities before engaging them,” he emphasized.

Alagbo made these observations at the launch of a campaign to reactivate political engagements on the various tertiary campuses in the Volta Region last weekend in Ho.

As part of efforts to ensure a vibrant youth wing of the party, the leadership initiated processes for electing new executives for the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) for all chapters in the region.

On Saturday, July 26, the party conducted vetting for new TEIN executives at Ho Technical University and also participated in the UHAS School of Public Health TEIN Chapter’s general meeting.

The team later observed a handing-over ceremony in Hohoe, during which Mathias Alagbo swore into office the newly elected TEIN executives who will serve for the next academic year.

Alagbo and his team used the occasion to educate the student body and faculty present on the strides made by the NDC government under the leadership of President John Mahama in the past seven months and urged the TEIN membership and the student body to fully embrace the reset agenda of the government to make Ghana a better place for all.

The NDC leadership also expressed their gratitude to the patrons for their generosity and support.
