Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has expressed optimism about Arsenal’s chances of beating Real Madrid in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie.
Ahead of the much-anticipated showdown at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the Black Stars midfielder believes the Gunners must not only play their game but also attack the hosts relentlessly on matchday.
“I think we’ve experienced this many times when we play here, and I think it’s not going to be something different. We just have to be confident with the ball and try to play our game.
“We all know what we have to do. We have to go there with the mentality to win. We want to win every game. And I think we have to play our game, be confident with the ball, and also try to find their weaknesses and keep attacking them,” Thomas Partey said after Arsenal’s draw against Brentford on Saturday.
The UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg between Real Madrid and Arsenal will kick off at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16.
