Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has called on his Arsenal teammates to remain faithful despite their shocking defeat to Bournemouth in the English Premier League on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

The Black Stars midfielder noted that defender William Saliba’s red card, which saw him go off in the 30th minute, took a toll on the game plan, leading to the defeat.

Speaking after the game, Partey emphasized the need for the players to avoid making such mistakes and remain focused as they aim for the Premier League title this season.

“We have to learn from our mistakes and not let them happen again. We are working hard, we are trying to win our duels, and sometimes these things happen.

“We have to stick together because red cards can happen in games, and we must learn from every mistake. Every time we have 11 players on the pitch, we always dominate the game,” he said.

The Gunners’ quest for the Premier League title was dealt a heavy blow after they were beaten 2-0 by Bournemouth.

Arsenal now lie third on the league table with 17 points after playing eight matches. Liverpool leads with 21, followed by Manchester City in second position with 20 points.
